Staff
Pastor Billy and his wife December have been members of Skyline Baptist Church since March of 2005 and served in Pastoral Care and Crises Intervention after being licensed in May of 2006. Pastor Billy was called as Co-Pastor in March of 2008 and then as Senior Pastor in October 2008. He is currently enrolled in Diploma level Seminary Extension courses at Cochise Baptist Bible Institute with Dr. Tommy Stevens. Pastor Billy has a background in Crises Intervention and has recieved training recognized by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. He has served twice as a Short term missionary for the International Mission Board in Malawi, Africa in cooperation with Bro. Jimmy May and his team from Trinity Baptist Church of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Pastor Billy continues to be invoved in oversees Short term missions as he believes this is part of our calling as Christians and he has found a love for the people of Malawi that has made it as he calls it, his second home. He is in his third year serving on the Mission team for the Cochise Baptist Association and has also just begun a second term serving as the Vice Moderator for the Association as well as chairman of the Credentials Commitee.
Pastor Billy is very passionate about missions and focusing our church to fulfill our Acts 1:8 commitment. He feels that we must be focused on missions locally and abroad as we meet this challenge. He has commited to lead the charge in bringing Christ to the nations as God leads him.
Pastor Brian, wife Jean and thier Daughter have been members of Skyline for several years. Pastor Brian was called as Associate Pastor in 2005. Over the past three years Pastor Brian has served in a variety of positions throughout the Church including Interim Co-Pastor, and Co-Pastor. Pastor Brian has been intimatly involved in the Cowboy Church movement here in Cochise County and southern Arizona since its inception a few short years ago. His contacts within the Cowboy Culture has given him the chance to influence the furtherance of the Gospel message in the "Cowboy Way" Such as at Ranch Fun Days, Cowboy Church services at city gatherings and most recently with round Corral services on working ranches. Work in these areas has culminated in the newest mission in Cochise county, Sierra Vista Cowboy Church. Pastor Brian has recently been sent out as a missionary to Pastor this church until such time as it incorporates and calls a full time Pastor. Please pray that God continues to use Pastor Brian in this wonderful work. Pastor Brian also serves on the Cochise Baptist Association's Leadership Development Team as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for the Cochise Baptist Bible Institute.
Bro. Dallas and his wife Lorraine have been members of Skyline Baptist Church for many years. Bro. Dallas was called as an Elder of the Church in 2005 and cotinues to serve in that capacity. Bro. Dallas is intimatly involved in missions as he and wife Lorraine lead services at Quiburi Mission nursing home. He feels it is his calling to bring the Gospel to those who can't come to the church. They both love serving and are a wonderful part of our family here at Skyline.
Ron Soto and his wife Brenda became members of Skyline Baptist Church in March of 2008. Ron and Brenda share four children: Ashley, Tyler, Annalisa and Abiella. Ron was baptized in July of 2000 by Pastor Jack Perkins, in Vail Arizona. From 2001 to 2007, he led the youth group for Vail Valley Baptist Church and taught Youth Sunday School there. Ron feels called to serve others and has felt called to the ministry. Ron was licensed to the the Gospel Ministry by Skyline on May 23rd. We can't wait to see what God is going to do through him and his family. We hope you will get to know Ron and Brenda and pray for them as they embark on the journey of Christian ministry. Ron will begin serving as a Deacon here at Skyline as he continues his training at Cochise Baptist Bible Institute and prayerfuly waits to see how God will use him.
